Impact of the Japan crisis to NAN YA's supply availability
The earthquake in Japan has no impact on NAN YA's raw material supplies. As is known, NAN YA produces all requested CCL raw materials in their own Taiwan and China plants. Hence, we will continuously provide you with reliable NAN YA base material supplies. However, Japan is amongst other things an important raw material producer for the world wide laminate production (for example Nittobo - glass yarn, Mitsui and Furukawa - copper foil). A far as we know today, the Japanese plants for those raw materials are not affected, but probably there will be at least temporary production stops or limitations due to lack of energy supply or technical inspections. Especially in the field of fine glass yarns for thin glass cloths, continued production interruptions in Japan would further influence the already tight supply situation of world-wide Laminate producers. We do hope that this will not happen. We will keep close tabs on the situation and keep you informed.
